POOP!!!

Please excuse the graphic nature of this post....

At approximately 3:30 this afternoon Benjamin was sitting on my lap after his nap when he turned around and said "go poo poo" after he said it a couple more times I decided to take him up stairs to see if he was serious. HE WAS!! I sat him on the toilet told him to go poo poo and after just a minute he pooped!!!! I haven't been so excited in a long time!!!

Lately he's been acting like he knows when he has to go but its hard to tell since he's still so young. We bought a potty seat and have plopped him on it when he acts like he has to go. I guess it finally clicked!! Who knows whether it will ever happen again, I can only hope!! How awesome would it be to have a kid out of diapers before he turns 2! or ever 1 and a half!!!!!!

Bloopers

One of the nice things about digital cameras is that you can take tons of pictures and not waste any film! Which is especially nice when trying to take pictures of small children... Sometimes ill take what seems like hundreds of pictures in hopes of getting just one good one. In the midst of the hundreds of photos there are often several goofy pictures...

this might just be my favorite picture!

blurry but hilarious...

dont worry the kiss made it all better :-D

the kids arnt the only ones that end up looking goofy...

caught in the act...

gasp! you didn't see that!

big cheese :-D

Those are just a few for now. Ill add more as I come across them. Happy Independence Day!!!

South Carolina

This past weekend my parents, Benjamin and I took a trip to South Carolina to see Tony since the Eagle would be there for a few days. We started out Thursday after work and spent the night at Jennifer's in NC. It was nice to see my new niece! Benjamin thought so too, he showered her with kisses!
We left NC at 4:30 AM the next day. We finally made it there no thanks to our handy GPS..... We meet Tony and Mr. Burley for a quick tour of the Eagle. I was excited to finally see where Tony has lived the past four summers. Benjamin was also excited to be on the big boat, and to see all the other boats around the Eagle.
After seeing the boat we all went to lunch before taking Mr. Burley to the airport. We stayed for a while to let Benjamin watch the planes. Long enough for him to cover the windows with little baby nose prints... :-D
The next day we tired to visit as many air conditioned attractions as possible. Our first stop was the aquarium.

We tried our hardest to take a cheesy family picture in front of the fish tanks but Benjamin obviously did not want to cooperate. :-/

Sunday we visited Fort Sumter. Benjamin's favorite part was riding in the front of the ferry. The little guy sure does love being on the water!

Although it was very hot and the weekend was way too short, it was a fun trip. Only 25 more days til Tony is home for break and just 322 days til our wedding!! :-D
