On the Road Again

I think Benjamin has traveled more in the last 18 months than most people probably have in a lifetime! Two trips to New York, several trips to North Carolina, one trip to Pennsylvania, one trip to South Carolina, and we just got back from his fourth trip to Connecticut! Once again he was a very good little traveler! We left Wednesday evening for Parents weekend at the Coast Guard Academy and made it to CT at about 4:30AM.

MVP

My dad found this adorable baseball jersey on ebay for $5 and the hat he got last year while we were in NY. I figured I needed to get some pictures of him in it before his head out grew the hat. Rachel took most of these pictures and they turned out really good! She did have a pretty cute model to work with ;-)


Watch out everyone! He may be little but he's got quite an arm on him! Maybe he'll grow up, go pro, and take care of mommy :-D

I love watching this sweet little boy grow up! I am completely fascinated with how much he already knows and how quickly he learns. He'll strike up a conversation with anyone he meets, although you can't understand most of it....he tries very hard! He learns new words everyday and is slowly starting to put them together. Before I know it I'll be getting a note from his teacher saying he talks too much! ;-)

PBA?!

Back to Normal!

Last Monday I finally had my wisdom teeth taken out. I'd been avoiding it for awhile but needed to get it done before my insurance runs out. I thought since I had a baby and all that having my wisdom teeth out would be no big deal! Silly me... The procedure itself wasn't a big deal, and the first couple of days were actually fine. Then my jaw started to get really stiff and hurt VERY bad. After suffering for 4 days ( including labor day weekend) I finally gave in and called the doctor.... turns out you're suppose to exercise those muscle they hack up to get your teeth out. Today was the first day in a week I felt semi-normal. Good thing too since everyone went bad to work today and I didn't have any help with Benjamin. I'm sure he was pretty confused about why mommy stayed in bed for almost a week.

We did manage to get of the house Friday night. Benjamin and I went to Brent and Abigail's to watch the Virginia Tech game... even though we left before it started because my jaw hurt so bad.


Benjamin learned all kinds of important lessons like how to climb trees with Sarah and Colin...

and how to eat ice cream right from the container...

and if you eat a giant scoop of ice cream you might get a brain freeze.
